PURPLE PINKIE DAY HUGE SUCCESS!

A HUGE Thank You to everyone who made Purple Pinkie Day such a success!
We all win when polio is gone.
Help us help the world battle this terrible disease.

Polio National Imunization Day

Polio has no cure. It is a crippling and potentially fatal disease and children under the age of five are at greatest risk. However Polio is easy to prevent by vaccination that costs just 60cents. When a child  is vaccinated, they have a purple stamp put on their  little finger – giving them a Purple Pinkie.

Scarborough Rotary donations, with help from Fairpoint Communications and the Scarborough Police Department, have put up block signs throughout the town to aid EMT personnel in finding the people who need help.  It has been a problem for Emergency personnel for some time. Homes are not adequately marked in many instances.
