President's Message
A message from the club President, KATHRYN Williams
What is Rotary?
How did I get involved in Rotary?
I officially joined the Scarborough Rotary Club in the Spring of 2021 and I was Vice President for the last Rotary year 2022-2023. I was a member of the Rotary Club of Ottawa from 1995 to 2013. My work as a Senior Biostatistician at Boston Children's Hospital took me away from Rotary for a few years but this terrific club got me back. I am very happy to have spearheaded last year's district grant and the project we completed with the grant to improve the Scarborough Marsh Nature Trail on Pine Point Road with storyboards. My mission as the 2023-24 President is to expand our club and what we have to offer to our community as well as have greater support for the great activities we do so well. We are a unique club that is very flexible with our meetings, we get out into the community as much as possible. Our evening meetings make our club the perfect spot for those unable to attend a traditional breakfast/lunch club. Each one of our members are open to change and are very welcoming to club prospects as well as potential speakers! If you ever have questions about Rotary or our club, don’t hesitate to reach out to me at kath@williamsalliance.com .
Best,
Kathryn Williams
