July 26th Meeting

John Murphy introduced Scarborough native, Dr. Robert Lynch who was paying his 3rd visit to our club dating back quite a few years. From his web site www.drlynch.com:

“A graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1976, his post-graduate studies and continuing education encompass physical therapy, sports injuries, ergonomic and disability evaluations. If you are suffering from back pain, sciatica, neck pain, a sports injury, a motor vehicle accident or from just wear and tear, Lynch Chiropractic Arts Center is here to help.”

His subject tonight was Living Healthy. His favorite quote is “anybody can get sick and die early”. He advocates keeping your eye on the ball if you want to remain healthy. He stressed the need to maintain an alkaline body fluid level. He feels that Tom Brady is in better health than 20 years ago because of his alkaline level. Strict adherence to an anti-inflammatory diet helps Tom absorb those hits. (He noted that Aron Rodgers is on a similar diet.)

To test our own pH levels he passed around Hydrion pH Test Strips. We dampened the test strips with our tongues and checked the resultant color code against the color chart on the side of the dispenser.

His bottom line is diet & lifestyle: Balance proteins & fats, get off sugars and artificial sweeteners, and exercise.
